Matoaka, known historically as Pocahontas, was kidnapped, trafficked, and subsequently raped by colonizers. She is the first documented MMIW case. Native women face murder and violence at rates that are more than 10 times the national average. We created this shirt to help bring awareness to the TRUE story, and to the crisis that our women face.

Disney took the tragic life story of the first MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) and framed it as a love story. We wanted to keep our drawing similar to the movie -- but with a warrior twist because she obviously had to be a strong native woman to survive.

Our shirts are made to order. And printed in the order that they are received. In most cases our turnaround time is 7 to 10 business days. ( Weekends and holidays are not considered business days. ) During times of extreme demand for our products your order could take an extra week.
