Our drawstring canvas backpacks are 14" inches wide x 18" inches tall. Plenty of room for everything you need in your daily routine.
Matoaka, known historically as Pocahontas, was kidnapped, trafficked, and subsequently raped by colonizers. She is the first documented MMIW case. Native women face murder and violence at rates that are more than 10 times the national average. We created this design to help bring awareness to the TRUE story, and to the crisis that our women face.
Disney took the tragic life story of the first MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) and framed it as a love story. We wanted to keep our drawing similar to the movie -- but with a warrior twist because she obviously had to be a strong native woman to survive.
